A possible reason for the collapse of a concrete fence under construction in Selyatino near Moscow was a violation of safety regulations, as reported by a TASS source on Friday, February 11.
“According to preliminary data, a safety violation led to the collapse with victims and injured,” he said.
It is noted that workers are currently under the rubble, the number of which is being established. Investigators and forensic experts from the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region left for the place of the emergency.
The collapse happened earlier that day. The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Moscow Region said that information about the incident was received at 21:05 Moscow time. According to preliminary data, two people died and three were injured.
The regional prosecutor’s office organized an investigation in connection with the incident. On behalf of the prosecutor of the Moscow region, Sergei Zabaturin, the Naro-Fominsk city prosecutor Vasily Antonov-Romanovsky went to the scene.
