Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov is in the Central Clinical Hospital with signs of SARS, computed tomography showed no lung damage. This was announced on February 11 by State Duma deputy, secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Sergei Obukhov.
“Zyuganov in the fifth building of the Central Clinical Hospital with symptoms of SARS. On CT, the lungs are clean, ”he wrote on Friday in his Telegram channel.
The deputy added that the Communist Party leader had already been examined. According to him, “the situation is normal” and allows him to be discharged from the hospital.
Earlier that day, the head of the party’s press service, State Duma deputy Alexander Yushchenko, told Izvestia that Zyuganov went to a planned hospitalization on the recommendation of doctors when the first signs of a cold appeared – a runny nose and cough. The parliamentarian stressed that there is “nothing dangerous” for the leader of the Communist Party. At the same time, he noted that he could not say about the results of Zyuganov’s tests for coronavirus because of medical secrecy.
Prior to this, Izvestia’s source in the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said that Zyuganov was indeed in the hospital, but the coronavirus was not the cause. He explained that the leader of the party “periodically undergoes the necessary preventive treatment.”
At the same time, Vladimir Kashin, deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, said that Zyuganov was admitted to the hospital the day before. He clarified that the politician had a fever, but he feels fine.
On February 9, it became known about the hospitalization of the head of the Liberal Democratic Party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky. As explained in the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the leader of the party has been in the hospital since February 2 with Omicron, a strain of coronavirus.
The press service of the Liberal Democratic Party assured that the politician feels fine, works with documents and gives instructions.
On February 11, the press service of the country’s Ministry of Health reported that doctors assess Zhirinovsky’s condition as stable.
