Russia to lift restrictions on flights to Cyprus from March 1

From March 1, Russia removes restrictions on regular and charter flights to Cyprus. This was reported to journalists on Saturday, February 12, at the operational headquarters for combating a new coronavirus infection.

At the same time, since February 21, Russia has been increasing air traffic with Hungary, Germany and Sri Lanka, while with Greece and Cyprus – since March 1.

In particular, the number of flights from Moscow to Budapest will increase from seven to 14, and from St. Petersburg – from four to seven. At the same time, it will be possible to fly to Sri Lanka from the capital of Russia four times a week. Flights from Kaliningrad to Berlin will fly six times a week, and to Düsseldorf five times.

At the same time, from March 1, it was decided to increase the number of regular flights on a reciprocal basis to Greece. So, seven flights a week, not four, will fly from Moscow to Corfu, four flights a week from Moscow to Mykonos, and two flights a week from St. Petersburg to Athens and Thessaloniki. A similar frequency of flights is also relevant for the Zhukovsky–Heraklion and Yekaterinburg–Heraklion routes.

In addition, from February 21, flights from the international airports of Nizhnevartovsk, Stavropol, Khanty-Mansiysk, Yakutsk and Abakan to open destinations will be resumed at a frequency determined for other points in Russia, from which international air traffic has been resumed, subject to the necessary sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

Earlier, on January 21, it became known that from March 1, vaccinated or recovered COVID-19 tourists will not need to do a PCR test to enter Cyprus. In addition, the period of validity of vaccination certificates for entry into the country is being extended from seven months to nine. For Russians, two doses of Sputnik V or Sputnik Light are recognized as a booster dose.
