A neighbor in the dormitory where the mother lived, who, according to preliminary data, attacked her five-year-old son with a knife, told what kind of life the woman led.
According to her, drunkards and drug addicts constantly gather in the hostel. The killer herself also abused alcohol. The neighbor emphasized that the child was always clean and close to the mother, but she could not characterize a “normal” woman.
“A normal woman can cut a child?! She is a drinker. And so … The boy was with her all the time, she did not leave him. He is always clean. She didn’t work, her sister helped her,” said the neighbor.
On February 12, a five-year-old child was hospitalized from an apartment in a high-rise building in the city of Engels with multiple stab wounds on his body, including in the chest, abdomen and neck.
On this fact, a criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “c” part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Attempted murder of a minor, obviously for the guilty person who is in a helpless state”).
The police detained and brought to the investigation department the 29-year-old mother of the injured child.
The woman could not clearly explain her act. According to some reports, she stated that she allegedly saw something paranormal in the child.
According to the medical report, the suspect was drunk at the time of the incident.
According to Izvestia, the woman stabbed the boy about 20 times, but the kid managed to survive. The condition of the injured child is assessed by doctors as serious.
