In the Nizhny Novgorod region on Sunday, February 12, as a result of an accident, three people died, including a minor, and another passenger was injured. This was reported by the publication “In the City of N” with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
The accident occurred at about 17:00 near the village of Steksova in the Ardatovsky district. The driver of the Škoda drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a truck.
As a result, the driver of the foreign car, the passenger and the child died on the spot. Another juvenile was hospitalized.
Police officers found that the truck driver chose the wrong speed when passing the turn, the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia said. Because of this, the heavy truck skidded into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a passenger car.
The day before, in Odintsovo near Moscow, on the 24th kilometer of the Minsk highway, an accident occurred involving a Mercedes minibus and two Ford and Volvo cars. There were no passengers in the minibus. The bus driver died as a result of the accident.
