Six people, including four children, died on the night of February 12-13 in a fire in a private house in the village of Suntar in the Republic of Sakha.

“The prosecutor’s office of the Suntar district organized an investigation into the circumstances of the fire in a two-story residential building in the village of Suntar on the night of February 12-13. The fire killed six people, including four children. The prosecutor of the Suntarsky district left for the scene, ”the department said.

During the inspection, prosecutors will assess the conditions and causes that could contribute to the death of people, including young children. According to preliminary information, the fire in the house could be caused by a short circuit or improper use of the stove.

On Saturday, February 12, a major fire broke out in the Moscow region in the attic of a four-story building on Lenin Street in Orekhovo-Zuyevo. Initially, the roof of the house caught fire. Due to the wooden floors on the fourth and fifth floors, collapses occurred, and the flames quickly spread further. The total fire area was 900 square meters. The governor of the region, Andrey Vorobyov, took personal control of the incident with the fire and instructed to temporarily accommodate the evacuated residents and provide them with everything necessary.
