The president of the mini-football club of Samara was detained with the son of the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The president of the mini-football club Dynamo-Samara, Igor Karpov, became one of the defendants in the bribery case, along with the son of the deputy head of the Russian Interior Ministry, Igor Zubov, Denis, and the former director of the MO NTP oil depot, Vasily Ermakov.

According to preliminary information, Zubov, Karpov and Ermakov intended to obtain the patronage of the oil depot LLC “Interbranch Association of TNP” from the regional FSB for a cash reward of 18 million rubles. They were detained while trying to transfer money to an alleged representative of the department.

The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case against the detainees under Part 5 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Giving a bribe”), in the near future the court will decide on the choice of a preventive measure.

According to information from open sources, Karpov was tried in 2016 for illegal oil production and sale, while Yermakov was involved in a corruption case.

Denis Zubov’s father – Igor Zubov – took over as deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in 2012. In 2013, he received the rank of First Class State Councilor of the Russian Federation.

The detention of Denis Zubov became known on February 12. He and two suspects of giving a bribe were detained the day before during a special operation in Samara. The funds were to be transferred for the patronage of the MO TNP oil depot. According to some reports, the amount amounted to 18 million rubles. At the same time, it was planned to pay 5 million rubles for patronage every month.
