In Samara, the son of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Igor Zubov, Denis, who was detained in the case of a bribe, was taken to court on February 13.
According to Izvestia, two other defendants in the case were brought to court with him – the president of the Dynamo-Samara mini-football club Igor Karpov and the former director of the MO NTP oil depot Vasily Ermakov.
It is specified that Karpov was tried in 2016 for illegal production and sale of oil, and Yermakov appeared in a corruption case.
All three defendants in the new case were detained in Samara on February 11 while trying to bribe law enforcement officers.
The funds were to be transferred for the patronage of the MO TNP oil depot. According to some reports, the amount of the bribe amounted to 18 million rubles. At the same time, the detainees promised to pay 5 million rubles a month for patronage.
The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case against the detainees under Part 5 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Giving a bribe”), in the near future the court will decide on the choice of a preventive measure.
Denis Zubov’s father – Igor Zubov – took over as deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in 2012. In 2013, he received the rank of First Class State Councilor of the Russian Federation.
