About 200 pigs died in a fire in the Irkutsk region

600 sq. m occurred on a pig farm in the village of Kamenka, Bokhansky district, Irkutsk region. About 200 pigs died. This was announced on Monday, February 14, by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

“Fire on an area of ​​600 sq. m at a pig farm in the village of Kamenka, Bokhansky district, firefighters liquidated tonight. At the time the fire was discovered, the building was engulfed in flames, with more than 200 pigs inside. 20 heads were saved by the employees of the enterprise. The building of the pig farm was damaged on an area of ​​600 square meters. m, about 200 animals died, ”the ministry said.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

On the eve of the fire and rescue service at half past seven in the evening received a message about a fire in the building of the pig farm. The fire was completely extinguished at 02:25 (21:25 Moscow time).

Earlier, on May 11, 2021, it became known that a truck with pigs overturned in the Pskov region, in the Velikoluksky district. According to eyewitnesses, a wheel burst at the car, as a result of which the driver lost control and slid into a ditch.
