In the Vyborgsky district of the Leningrad region, a man was detained on suspicion of killing a girl and a young man. This was reported on February 14 in the press service of the regional Investigative Committee.
It is noted that on Monday, the bodies of a 25-year-old young man and a 28-year-old girl with multiple stab wounds of various parts of the body were found in an apartment on the Leningradskoye Highway in the city of Kamennogorsk.
On the grounds of a crime under paragraph “a” part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of two or more persons”), a criminal case was initiated, the department added.
It is specified that investigators, operatives, forensic specialists, experts and police officers worked on the spot, and the suspect is currently detained.
Initial investigative actions made it possible to establish that the murder was committed as a result of drinking alcohol.
“In the course of the initial investigative actions, it was established that these injuries were caused by their acquaintance, a man born in 1979, who stabbed them several times during a quarrel that arose on the basis of personal hostility after drinking alcohol. Currently, in accordance with Art. 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, a man was detained, ”the message on the website of the regional Investigative Committee says.
In addition, charges will soon be brought against the detainee, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure for him in the form of detention is now being decided, the investigators stressed.
They added that a set of investigative actions continues to be carried out to establish all the circumstances of the crime committed, in particular, a number of forensic examinations have been appointed, and the reasons for the commission of the crime are being established.
On February 10, a double murder was reported in the north of Moscow. The regional Investigative Committee reported that the bodies of a man and a woman with signs of violent death in the form of stab wounds were found in the apartment of a residential building, and the body of another man with bodily injuries was found near the house.
A criminal case was initiated. According to preliminary information, relatives lived in the apartment, between whom there was a conflict on domestic grounds.
