The An-26 aircraft made an emergency landing at the Ust-Kut airport (Irkutsk region) due to an engine malfunction. This was announced on February 15 by Taras Tarasov, Deputy General Director for Aviation Security and Transport Security of the airport.
“He had a malfunction of one of the engines, and because of this he made an emergency landing in Ust-Kut. Everything is fine, ”Tarasov told Interfax.
Landing took place at 11:26 (06:26 Moscow time).
As TASS was told in the press service of the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office, there were 14 passengers on the plane. The emergency landing was made due to an oil leak alarm in the right engine.
The transport prosecutor’s office is investigating the incident. Passengers will be sent to Yerbogachen on a spare board.
On February 14, a Mi-8 passenger helicopter made an emergency landing on a snow-covered field in Yamal on February 14. According to Izvestia, there were 18 people on board. According to preliminary data, the reason for the landing was a technical malfunction.
