In Penza, after falling snow and ice on a woman from the visor of the entrance, a criminal case was opened. This was reported on February 15 on the official website of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Penza Region.
As a result of the incident, a woman born in 1954 received a broken leg and bruises.
The victim was hospitalized.
The case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life or health of consumers.”
A similar incident occurred on February 11 in Saratov. The man was urgently hospitalized after a block of ice fell on him.
The Prosecutor General’s Office recorded about 370 thousand violations in the field of housing and communal services in 2021. All the confirmed facts of poor-quality provision of services led to the initiation of 1225 criminal cases and the bringing of over 80 thousand citizens to disciplinary responsibility.
