A car driver knocked down a woman and a child at an unregulated pedestrian crossing in the south-east of Moscow. This was announced on Tuesday, February 15, by the press service of the Moscow traffic police department.
The agency is investigating the accident.
“The accident happened on Ryazansky Prospekt near house 2. The driver, driving a Volkswagen car, hit a mother and her four-year-old daughter, who were crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing,” the report says.
According to preliminary information, the girl received a concussion and a closed craniocerebral injury, as well as bruises. The child was hospitalized accompanied by his mother.
Currently, traffic police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

On February 15, the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate named the day of 2021 with the highest number of traffic accidents (RTA).
The largest number of accidents in which people were killed or injured was registered on May 11, and the fewest accidents last year occurred on January 15.
