Minister of Machine-Tool and Tool Industry of the USSR, former First Deputy Minister of the Rocket and Space Industry of the Soviet Union Boris Balmont died at the age of 94. This was announced on Wednesday, February 16, by Roskosmos.

The state corporation expressed condolences to the families and friends of the ex-deputy minister.
“Not only the rocket and space industry, but the whole country suffers an irreparable loss when such people leave,” Roscosmos noted.
