There has been war between Israel and Iran for days. At night, US President Trump surprisingly announced a ceasefire. Now Iran reacts.
Iran wants to hire his attacks against Israel if the archenemy ends the war. Shortly after the ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump, the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi wrote on the platform X, there was currently no agreement on an ceasefire or the hiring of military operations. However, if Israel stops his “illegal aggression” against the Iranian people at the latest at 0400 a.m. Tehraner Zeit (0230 CEST), “we do not intend to continue our response afterwards”.
A final decision on the cessation of one’s own military operations will be made at a later date, wrote Araghtschi. Israel started the war against Iran, not the other way around, he emphasized. From the Israeli side there was initially no confirmation for Trump’s announced ceasefire between the two arch enemies.
Trump had written Truth Social on his platform, and initially Iran will comply with a ceasefire for twelve hours, then Israel for twelve hours. After these 24 hours, the war was then ended, the US President wrote. That would be Wednesday morning (MESZ).
