The “Respect registration office!” On the DPA request, the platforms said urgently would have to take on more responsibility and implement concrete security measures in order to effectively protect their users.
The organization Hateaid (Berlin) criticized large players under the platforms such as X or Facebook ignored notes and reports too often. They sometimes did not make it easy for law enforcement agencies-their willingness to cooperate on the field was not enough, complained Hateaid consultant Claudia Otte-Galle.

Each hint is basically checked by a legal team that forwarded to the BKA as relevant under criminal law. “Currently, around a third of the reported content is classified by us as relevant to criminal law. The BKA confirmed this assessment in 90 percent of the cases in 2024.”
Digital violence can affect everyone
Digital violence “runs through all parts of society,” emphasized “Respect!”. From educational offers at schools it is known that many young people and young adults were faced with hatred and agitation on the net almost every day. “Many of them – both individuals and entire groups – feel left alone in dealing with digital violence.”
The registered content is not only digitally hurtful, but often also worked into the realities of life of those affected, the reporting office reported. According to it, it is an offer from the Baden-Württemberg Youth Foundation and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education.
Similarly, social worker Claudia Otte-Galle from the non-profit organization Hateaid reported: “It rarely happens, but it definitely happens that digital violence turns into analogous violence.” The advice knows serious cases in which sustainable calls to reputation had occurred to depression or anxiety disorders that those affected should have changed their place of residence. However, awareness of the problem has grown.
