An attack by Israeli settlers on a Palestinian village has triggered fatal confrontations in West Bank. The army speaks of fires and arrests.
After an attack of Israeli settlers on a Palestinian village in the West Bank, fatal confrontations occurred there. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, three Palestinians were killed by shots in the village of Kufr Malik. Seven other people were injured, one of them life -threatening. According to residents, settlers and soldiers emit shots.
Settlers set fire to houses and cars
The Palestinian mayor reported that more than 100 settlers had attacked the village and set fire to vehicles and houses.
The Israeli army also announced in a post on platform X that dozens of Israelis had lit possession in the village of Kufr Malik. Afterwards there were confrontations between Israeli and Palestinian civilians who had thrown each other with stones. As a result, soldiers and police forces came into the village and tried to end the argument. A soldier was slightly injured.
Deadly shots after intervening through Israel’s army
“Subsequently, several terrorists from the interior of the village opened the fire and threw stones on the security forces,” said the army. “They replied the fire in the direction of the shooters and stone thrower.” There were several deaths and injuries. Five Israeli suspects were arrested during the incident.
The situation in the occupied West Bank has intensified since the Hamas massacre in Israel on October 7, 2023 and the resulting Gaza war. Since then, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 940 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military missions, armed disputes and attacks by extremists. At the same time, there is an increasing violence of radical Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians
