CIA: Iran’s nuclear program has thrown back for years

The CIA foreign intelligence agency stands behind US President Trump. How much have the massive US attacks actually harmed the Iranian nuclear program on three systems?

The US attacks in Iran have caused severe damage to Tehran’s nuclear program, according to the international secret service CIA. The reconstruction of the important destroyed nuclear facilities would take “years”, explained CIA boss John Ratcliffe. The new findings are based on a source that has proven to be “reliable and correct” in the past. The CIA continues to analyze the consequences of the attacks.

US secret service coordinator Tulsi Gabbard also spoke on the platform X that a possible reconstruction of the facilities in Fordo, Natans and ISFAhan would take years. With her and the CIA it remained unclear which new knowledge has led to the new assessment.

Gabard and the CIA support President Donald Trump’s statements, who speaks of a complete destruction of the facilities. He characterized the attacks he had ordered from the weekend as a death blow for the Iranian nuclear program.

The Iranian nuclear program, on the other hand, saw a first assessment of the military secret service DIA’s military secret service known on Tuesday. The White House criticized the publication of knowledge of the expert opinion classified as “strictly secret” and rejected them as wrong.

Trump speaks of “complete destruction”

Trump rejected the media reports as “fake news”. At the NATO summit in the Haag, he said in front of journalists with a view to the nuclear facilities: “I think it was a total extinction.” He spoke of a “perfect operation” of the US military.

US general staff chief Dan Caine had commented on Sunday. To the effect of the attacks, in which massive bunkerbreaking bombs were also used, he said that there were “serious damage and destruction” on the nuclear facilities.

Israel had started a war against his arch enemy Iran almost two weeks ago. Iran’s nuclear program and the development of ballistic rockets wanted to stop with massive air strikes against destinations across the country. In the meantime, a ceasefire applies in the conflict.

Iran has always emphasized that its nuclear program only serves civil purposes, not the development of nuclear weapons.
