US President Donald Trump wants to change the fact that all children born on US floor also receive citizenship. Now the Supreme Court faces federal judges.
US President Donald Trump achieved a victory in front of the Supreme Court in the dispute over birth law in the USA. The Supreme Court decided to partially complain about the orders of federal judges who had temporarily stopped Trump’s decree throughout the United States. Such nationwide stops probably exceeded the powers. The focus of the decision was not the constitutionality of the decre.
Trump has described a decision by the Supreme Court in favor of the government as a “monumental victory”. Thanks to the judgment, the government can now advance numerous decisions that were previously wrongly blocked by judges, said Trump in the White House. “It’s a great decision, one with which we are very happy,” he said.
Judges had made themselves “Kaisern” with nationwide preliminary orders against government agencies, Justice Minister Pam Bondi criticized journalists – and praised the decision of the Supreme Court to put an end.
What Donald Trump wants-and what the US constitution
The government had argued that preliminary orders with nationwide effects restricted the ability of the executive to perform their tasks. She had asked that such stops by federal courts only apply to plaintiffs directly involved – not throughout the country. This was followed by the judges in their decision. Among other things, 22 states had sued. According to the “New York Times”, the decree of the “New York Times” could come into force in 30 days.

Federal judges “have no general supervision of the executive,” wrote the conservative judge Amy Coney Barrett in her reason. Trump had appointed Barrett himself in his first term (2017 to 2021). The three liberal judges at the Supreme Court contradicted the majority opinion. The judgment was a “farce”, criticized the judge Sonia Sotomayor, which was appointed by President Barack Obama.
Who was born in the United States is a citizen
In the United States, the principle of birth applies according to the 14th constitutional principle: All people who are born on the US floor and are subordinate to American jurisdiction are automatically citizens-regardless of their parents’ residence status. Trump questions this principle. Immediately after returning to the White House, he had signed a decree that is supposed to refuse to refuse to refuse to have certain newborns.
