Israeli army kills Hamas commanders in Gaza and Lebanon

According to the army, a high -ranking commander of the Islamist Hamas was killed in an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip. As the military announced, Hakem Al-ISSA was one of the founders of Hamas. He worked primarily in the military wing of the terrorist organization. It is also said to have played an important role in the planning and implementation of the massacre in Israel on October 7, 2023.
According to the army, Al-ISSA was one of the last high-ranking commanders of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Most recently, he acted as the head of an important unity of the terrorist organization and worked on the structural reconstruction of Hamas after around a year and a half of the Gaza War.
Last Hamas commander killed in Lebanon
At the beginning of May, the Israeli army together with the secret service killed the Hamas commander Hassan Farhat in a “targeted” night attack in the South Libanian port city of Sidon. The armed arm of the Hamas, the Essedin-Al-Kassam brigades, confirmed Farhat’s death.
According to the Israeli army, Farhat was responsible for the western area of Hamas in Lebanon and in connection with the war in the Gaza Strip for several attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians. Among them is a rocket attack on the Israeli city of Safed from February 2024, in which an Israeli soldier was killed.
Libanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam spoke of a “serious injury to Lebanese sovereignty”. In addition, Israel violates the armchair in Lebanon with the attack.
