Trump is probably Netanyahus Treuster supporter: The US President wants his Israeli counterpart to finally bury the war hatchet. Every means is right for him.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is apparently negotiating with the radical Islamic terrorist organization Hamas. The agreement should also be about the release of all the delayed Israeli hostages, writes US President Donald Trump in his online service Truth Social.
In addition, Trump accuses Israeli judiciary of hindering the negotiations. The background is a corruption process against Netanyahu, which has been ongoing for five years. He is charged with fraud, infidelity and bribery. At the beginning of the month he for the first time said in the cross -life. According to the “Times of Israel”, the interrogation will soon be continued.
Trump described the process as “political witch hunt” – “very similar to the witch hunt” that he had to endure. “This farce of ‘justice’ will affect both the negotiations with Iran and Hamas,” said the US President about his online platform and added: “It is amazing what the Bibi Netanyahu, which has been out of control, is.”
Netanyahu is a “war hero” who did “great work” to eliminate the nuclear danger from Iran. “It is important that he is in the process of negotiating an agreement with the Hamas that also includes the return of the hostages. Let Bibi go, he has a big task to fulfill!”. A few days ago, Trump had already stood on Truth Social Netanyahu and knew hard against Israel’s judiciary.
Tel Aviv demonstrates for hostage of hostages
Trump had previously said that he assumed that “within the next week” a ceasefire could be reached in the Gaza Strip. According to media reports, Israeli officials dampened expectations. Accordingly, there have so far been no significant change in the positions of both sides in the most important issues, including the demand of the terrorist organization Hamas for guarantees for an end to the war in Gaza.
Meanwhile, thousands of people demonstrated in Tel Aviv for the release of the hostages dragged into the Gaza Strip. The crowd gathered on Saturday evening with Israeli flags and photos of the kidnapped in the so -called place of the hostages. It was the first demonstration of the forum of hostage members since the war against Iran. During the twelve -day war, the otherwise weekly protests could not take place due to a ban on assembly.
Israel had started a major attack on Iran a good two weeks ago and justified this with the advanced Iranian nuclear and rocket program. Iran reacted with rocket and drone attacks to Israel. After attacks by the United States on Iranian nuclear facilities, a ceasefire came into force on Tuesday after twelve days of war. Since then, the demands for the end of the war in the Gaza Strip and a handover of all remaining hostages have also become louder in Israel.
“The war with Iran ended with an agreement. The war in the Gaza Strip has to end in the same way-with an agreement that brings everyone home,” said the forum of the hostage members before the demonstration on Saturday.
Demonstrators appeal to Netanyahu and Trump
Some demonstrators asked US President Donald Trump to work more for an agreement with the radical Islamic Hamas. “President Trump, end the crisis in the Gaza Strip. The Nobel Prize is waiting,” said a poster.
In a speech, the soldier Liri Albag, released by Hamas, turned directly to Trump and the Israeli head of government Benjamin Netanyahu. “You made courageous decisions at Iran. Now make the courageous decision to end the war in the Gaza Strip and bring people home,” said the young woman.
The war in the Gaza Strip was triggered by Hamas’s brutal major attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. According to Israeli information, more than 1210 people were killed, 251 people were deported to the Gaza Strip as hostages. 49 hostages are still captured by the Islamists, according to the Israeli army, at least 27 of them are dead.
Negotiations with the mediation of Egypt, Qatar and the USA for an ceasefire and the handover of all remaining hostages have so far been unsuccessful.
