The proposal for a new 60-day fire break is on the table. Hamas is still setting up with its allies. She wants the ceasefire to lead to a permanent end of the fights.
With other Palestinian groups, the Islamist Hamas advises a new ceasefire about the latest proposal. “In order to end the Zionist aggression against our people and to ensure free access to humanitarian aid, our movement conducts consultations with the leaders of the Palestinian forces and groups about the proposal,” said the organization. “After completing the consultations, the movement will present a final decision to the intermediaries and officially announce them.”
In Hamas, it was said that the terrorist organization had reacted positively to the new proposal. However, the group wants to guarantee that the two-month ceasefire leads to a permanent end of the fights, quoted the newspaper “Asharq al-A-Aat” published in London from the Hamas area. Meanwhile, according to a report by the news portal “Ynet”, the Israeli security cabinet came together to advise on the details of a possible break.
Mediators suggest ceasefire for 60 days

Hamas announced that the proposal “with great responsibility” proposal.
The exact conditions of the mediator’s new proposal are still unclear. At least 20 hostages in the Gaza Strip should still live
According to official Israeli information, 50 people kidnapped from Israel are still captured in the Gaza Strip, of which at least 20 should still be alive. The newspaper reported that the hostages and the corpses are returned to the hostage and the return of the corpses, in five groups over a period of 60 days.
The war was triggered by the attack by Hamas and other Islamist terrorist organizations to Israel on October 7, 2023, in which around 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 deported to Gaza as hostages. Since then, according to the health authority controlled by the Hamas, more than 56,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza. The number that is barely verifiable does not differentiate between civilians and fighters.
