Donald Trump brought his tax and expenditure law through in terms of domestic policy. He wants to celebrate success – on a special day.
U.S. President Donald Trump wants to underpin his domestic victory with his signature under the Great Tax and Expenses Act on Independence Day. The day before the national holiday, the law, which was partially controversial and almost 900 -page, had passed the House of Representatives.
President Trump had made himself very strong for the law for weeks, which he calls “One Big Beautiful Bill” (“A big, beautiful law”). This Friday afternoon (5 p.m. local time), the signing in the White House around the celebrations on July 4th is planned, as the White House announced. First Lady Melanie Trump is also expected.
After the voices of the Republicans in the Trump representative had given the triumph – only two party colleagues voted against it – Trump gave a speech before the independence day on Thursday evening in Iowa.
Trump to followers: “We will win”
He lined up the law into the successes that he had produced since the beginning of his presidency. America is the most attractive country in the world. Trump agreed to his follow -up day: “We are a people, a family and a united American nation.” You will never give up. “We will fight, fight, fight. We will win, win, win – because we are Americans”.
Independence day is one of the most important non -religious national holidays in the United States. Celebrations take place everywhere, everything is decorated in the colors of the US flag – there is fireworks. On July 4, 1776, British colonies declared their independence from Great Britain and paved the way for the establishment of the United States.
Extension of tax reliefs
At the center of the tax and expenditure law is the permanent extension of tax relief from Trump’s first term. In addition, new tax cuts are planned. For example, a tax on drinking money and overtime should be eliminated up to a certain amount.
The law provides for more expenses for defense and border protection of the United States, but there are strong cuts in other areas – for example in the social benefits. There is criticism primarily of the intended cuts on the US health system Medicaid. The state program supports low earners and people with disabilities.
