The Ministry of Digital Development has prepared a system for the work of officials in social networks, and the State Duma is ready in March to consider the draft law “On Amendments to Article 2 of the Law “On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection” and certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation.” The document proposes to oblige the authorities and organizations subordinate to them to create official pages on social networks in order to talk about their work.
As Izvestiya was told in the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, it was recommended to consider the bill at a meeting of the lower house on March 22.
The press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation told Izvestiya that a system has already been developed on the basis of the Gosuslugi portal that helps state authorities, local governments, and organizations subordinate to them maintain their pages on social networks.
“Currently, this functionality is being tested. During the testing period, almost 800 thousand posts were published in 76.5 thousand publics in popular social networks. The audience of publics using the capabilities of the public services portal amounted to more than 50 million users, ”the press service of the ministry explained.
At the same time, they noted that an official response to the bill would be sent by the government of the Russian Federation in the prescribed manner. And which officials will use social networks, the Cabinet will decide.
