Green politician Jette Nietzard threatened to lose access to the Bundestag because of provocative clothing. Now she can obviously keep her house ID.
The Green politician Jette Nietzard can continue to move in buildings of the Bundestag despite her “ACAB” affair. According to “Tagesspiegel”, the Bundestag administration dispenses with the withdrawal of the house ID that regulates access to parliament. This is “not considered necessary,” a spokesman told the newspaper on request.
The scandal around Nietzard’s provocative clothing apparently remains without further practical consequences. At the end of May, the federal spokeswoman for the Green Youth had posted a photo on her Instagram channel, which she shows in a sweater with the acronym “ACAB”, (stands for “All Cops Are Bastards”) and a cap with the lettering “Eat the Rich”. She wrote that she was on the way to the Bundestag and asked which clothing in Bundestag president Julia Klöckner (CDU).
Jette Nietzard provokes regularly
In particular, the police -single sweater provided outraged reactions across the political camps. The Bundestag administration took up the feud shoe and said in a letter to the Greens that Nietzard’s behavior could be sanctioned with a fine and other measures until the house ID card is withdrawn. The consequence of Nietzard was actually open to the end.
The withdrawal of the house ID is now apparently off the table. In its response to the “Tagesspiegel”, the Bundestag administration refers to Nietzard worn the controversial clothes yes “outside of the property of the Bundestag”. But which also means that Nietzard should continue to be careful not to wear the outfit in parliament.
The “ACAB” Affair is not the first action with which the argumentative politician caused excitement. And probably not the last either. In: “I have a few other sweaters in my closet, so you can be excited to see which messages we will discuss.”
