A fraudster as US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is said to have pretended to be an artificial intelligence. He is also said to have contacted members of other governments.
According to media reports, a fraudster has pretended to be U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio with the help of artificial intelligence and is said to have sent messages to high-ranking politicians.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. State Department said when asked by journalists. However, with reference to the ongoing investigation, she made no more detailed information on what exactly happened. It is unclear how big the damage is and whether sensitive information has been replaced.
Wrong Marco Rubio is said to have imitated voice
First, the “Washington Post” reported, citing a high-ranking US official and information to the ministry employee. In addition to three outside ministers, the fraudster also contacted a US governor and a congress member.
With the help of artificial intelligence, the fraudster is said to have imitated the voice of Marco Rubio and his writing style and then sent text and voice messages. The fraud is said to have started in mid -June 2025.
