Rubio and Lavrow meet today in Malaysia
US President Trump is increasingly annoyed by Kremlin chief Putin. Now the foreign ministers of both countries meet in Malaysia.
Against the background of massive Russian air strikes on Ukraine, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrow meet today (12 p.m. CEST/6:00 p.m. local time) in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. For the first time, Rubio and Lavrow had personally met in the Saudi capital Riad almost five months ago. The two then talked together several times when the USA pushed for a ceasefire in Ukraine.
