According to Palestinian information, Israeli soldiers are said to have killed at least ten people near a distribution center for humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. In addition, around 70 people were injured in the incident near the city of Rafah in the south of the competitive coastal area, it was said from medical circles of the health authority controlled by the Islamist Hamas.

The Israeli army did not specifically respond to the incident on request. “As a result of incidents in which civilians had suffered damage at the distribution institutions, thorough examinations (…) were initiated and the troops on site were given instructions that take into account the lessons drawn from them,” the answer said.

The controversial Gaza Humanitrian Foundation (GHF) is currently responsible for the distribution of food in the Gaza Strip. The foundation supported by Israel and the USA began its work at the end of May after a month -long Israeli blockade of aid deliveries. Among other things, the UN criticize that the foundation operates too few distribution centers and that people there and on the way are exposed to great dangers.

Again and again there are reports of fatal incidents near distribution centers. According to UN, 798 people have already been killed in the Gaza Strip at the Gaza Strip at distribution centers for relief supplies and around auxiliary convoys. Current numbers of the UN have been registered with 615 killings on or near the GHF distribution stations, as UN Human Rights Spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani announced in Geneva.
