Germany finances hundreds of far -reaching weapons for Ukraine
Ukraine needs far -reaching weapons for its defense against the Russian attacks. Germany is now financing hundreds of it, says the head of the special team of Ukraine.
Germany wants to further support Ukraine with the financing of far -reaching weapon systems. The head of the special staff of Ukraine in the Ministry of Defense, Major General Christian Fredinging, spoke of “a high three-digit number” in the ZDF “Today Journal”. The first systems should therefore arrive at the Ukrainian armed forces at the end of July.
It is an agreement between the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the industry there, which Germany only initiated and finance at the end of May. Freding is currently in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, where the agreement was signed this Friday.
Freding: Weapons will increase Ukraines air defense “massively”
“We need gun systems that extend far to the depth of Russian space that can attack – the leadership facilities, airplaces, aircraft,” said Freuding. According to him, the weapon systems will “massively reinforce” Ukrainian air defense in the next few weeks and months.
