After the initial election of three constitutional judges by the Bundestag, the SPD plans to make its controversial judge candidate Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf appear before the Union faction. Brosius-Gersdorf, whose election had burst on Friday, should personally step in front of the Union faction and talk to the MPs of the CDU and CSU about their candidacy, as the “Bild” newspaper reported on Friday.
According to the information, SPD parliamentary group leader Matthias Miersch had submitted the idea of a direct meeting between Brosius-Gersdorf and the Union faction at an SPD parliamentary group meeting called on Friday evening. He was in close contact with Brosius-Gersdorf, said Miersch and said that this wanted to stick to her candidacy.

An SPD MP from the top of the parliamentary group told the newspaper: “We hope that the concerns about Brosius-Gersdorf can be cleared out at the appointment in the Union faction.
