NATO and USA agree on “massive” arms deliveries

Is the weapon turn for Ukraine now? According to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the alliance with the United States has agreed on the delivery of further equipment.

The USA and NATO have agreed on “massive” arms deliveries for Ukraine. The agreement means “that Ukraine will get really massive amounts of military equipment into its hands,” said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Monday at a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington. According to this, US weapons, for example for air defense, are to be paid for by European countries like Germany.

According to Trump, the weapons that the United States deliver to NATO for Ukraine also include patriot rocket systems and batteries. “It is a complete equipment with batteries,” said Trump when asked whether he would send Patriot flight defense rocket system. That should be done very soon.

“We will make top -class weapons and deliver them to NATO,” said Trump. The NATO member countries would pay for the costs and not the American taxpayer, he adds.

Ukraine decline: Trump threatens to supporters Russia with punitive tariffs

Trump had previously threatened Russia’s allies such as China and India with punitive tariffs of 100 percent. The United States would raise the so-called secondary doctors if there was no ceasefire agreement in the Ukrainkrail in 50 days, Trump said at the meeting with Rutte in the White House. Trump confirmed that he was “disappointed by President (Vladimir) Putin”.

This is a change of direction for Trump. For a long time he had been able to end the war with negotiations – and made a phone call to Putin several times. In the end he had expressed his displeasure more and more, on Sunday he said, for example: “I am very disappointed by President Putin. I thought he was someone who thinks what he says.”

Rutte assured Trump that Europe would now show commitment again. Germany is currently massively committed, but also countries such as Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, England, the Netherlands and Canada. “They all want to be part of it – and that’s just the first wave – there will be more,” said the Dutch. One will now determine the exact need for Ukraine via the NATO structures, in order to be able to put packages with “with speed and pragmatism”, which are about air defense, as well as things such as rockets and ammunition.

It is only important to ensure that the USA remained defensive. “Because in the end you are the world policeman. You are the most powerful nation in the world, with the strongest military in the world,” said Rutte to Trump.
