Unimpressed by Donald Trump’s threats, Russia continues to attack Ukraine. Meanwhile, the US President makes it clear which weapon system Kyiv has to do without.

50 days-according to the will of US President Donald Trump, the weapons should be silent in Ukraine. However, regardless of this ultimatum, Russia continues to attack with undiminished hardness: at least two civilians were killed by Russian attacks in the East Ukrainian area of Charkiw. In the south -eastern city city of Krywyj Rih, drones and at least one rocket occurred as a result of Russian attacks.

Donald Trump threatens Russia with high tariffs

Trump had recently announced arms deliveries for Ukraine, as well as Russia’s President Vladimir Putin: If there was no deal within 50 days of the end of the Russian war against Ukraine, the USA would raise high tariffs against Russia’s trading partner.

Meanwhile, when asked whether he was ready to provide Ukraine long-range missiles: “No, that is not our intention.” The Republican was also asked whether Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj Moscow or other destinations should be targeted in Russia. Trump replied: “No, he shouldn’t aim at Moscow”.

Donald Trump was faced with these questions after the “Financial Times” reported that Trump had encouraged Ukraine to attack attacks deep in the Russian hinterland. During a phone call with Selenskyj, he asked whether Kiev Russia’s capital Moscow or the second largest city in the country, St. Petersburg, could meet if the USA delivered long -distance weapons, the newspaper wrote, citing two people familiar with the conversation.

Trump: “Don’t think that 50 days are very long”

Several US media then cited Trump’s spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt with the statement that Trump only asked one question, but did not call for further killings. When asked why he gave Putin for another 50 days to continue his war against Ukraine, Trump replied: “I don’t think that 50 days are very long.” In addition, something can happen earlier.

So far, however, Russia shot the neighboring country undeterred. In Kupjansk in the Charkiw area, a man was killed by a remote -controlled drone. A second man died in the associated district town as a result of a Russian attack.

The front runs just a few kilometers from Kupjansk. Before the Russian march of February 2022, more than 26,000 people lived in the city.

There were also drone attacks in the big city of Charkiw itself. At least three people were injured, said the area military governor, Oleh Synjehubow, at Telegram. The aim of the attacks was a civilian company in the city’s city.

Power failures in the Ukrainian city

The Military Department Head Olexander Wilko said on Telegram that there were power failures in the big city of Krywyj Rih after Russian attacks. “There were about 20 impacts,” he wrote. The water supply will be switched to generators. He warned of insufficient water pressure on higher floors. The Ukrainian President Selenskyj comes from the industrial city, which had more than 600,000 inhabitants before the Russian invasion.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for almost three and a half years. The Russian military repeatedly attacks systems that are important for the power supply.
