According to media reports, the federal investigator Maurene Comey is going to get rid of her job. The exact reason is unclear. What does your cooperation in the Epstein and Combs cases have to do with it?
According to media reports, the Federal Frey Epstein and Sean “P. Diddy” “P. Diddy” involved in Combs has been fired.
The exact reason of their discharge is unclear, reported the news portal “Politico” and the daily newspaper “New York Times”. In the cases against the convicted sex offender Epstein and the musician and producer Combs, Comey had also worked – the latter was accused of having abused, threatened and compelled for years to fulfill sexual wishes.
Comey is the daughter of former FBI boss James Comey. Trump had fired him in May 2017 in connection with Russia investigations. At that time, the FBI had examined possible connections between Moscow and members from Trump’s campaign team.
Epstein files cause a stir
Epstein’s arrest, which had systematically abused minors for many years, caused a stir worldwide. In 2019 he committed suicide in his prison cell at the age of 66. In parts of the US company, Epstein’s death caused wild speculation because he had the best contacts in the American high society. President and billionaires went in and out of him-Donald Trump also spent time with Epstein, as several party videos of the two prove.
Publishing the files for the case was one of Trump’s election promise. At the beginning of last week, however, the FBI announced that he had not found any evidence of participating more prominent. Epstein’s death is also clear. There is therefore no legendary list of the former multimillionaire with the names of US elites.
Public resentment via unpublished customer list
In the US public, this FBI specification provided frowns, including Trump’s Maga supporters (“Make America Great Again”). Because in February, Minister of Justice Pam Bondi had said in a TV interview on the clear question of whether an Epstein customer list could really be published: “It is currently on my desk.” The White House said this with a misunderstanding: Bondi meant that she was presenting the investigative files. Since then, criticism has been hailing of the Minister of Justice. Trump last stood behind Bondi.
