Reports: Israeli attack meets the church in Gaza

Israel’s army according to its own information in the Gaza Strip against Hamas. Now a church is said to have been hit by Israel.
According to Palestinian, a church has been hit in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip. The Latin patriarchy in Jerusalem confirmed that the Catholic Church of the Holy Family in the center of the city of Gaza was hit in an attack. There were several injuries, including the pastor of the community, and damage to the church. Israel’s army said on request that the reports were to be investigated.
The Italian news agency Ansa reported, citing the area around the patriarch, two women who were initially considered dead after the attack because they had no longer given a sign of life. They are now in the hospital and hovered in mortal danger. The Palestinian news agency Wafa had previously reported that two women were killed. According to Ansa, two men also had to be brought to a clinic with serious injuries.
According to Wafa, displaced people are housed in the church. Around 1,000 Christians live in the Gaza strip, and a total of more than two million inhabitants. According to the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV was informed about the incident in his summer residence Castel Gandolfo.
Meloni: “The attacks are unacceptable”
Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also commented on the incident. “The attacks against the civilian population, which has been demonstrating Israel for months, are unacceptable,” said Meloni.
