Transport of military goods between Antwerp and Israel was held in court

The port in Antwerp is one of the largest in Europe. A court now decides that ships that drive from there towards Israel are no longer allowed to take a military goods with them.
Through the Belgian region Flanders, military goods are no longer allowed to be managed to Israel – if there is no security that they are only used civilian. This was decided by a court in the Belgian capital Brussels, as the Belgian news agency Belga reports. In the event of violations, punishments of 50,000 euros are threatened. Previously, several non -governmental organizations had filed a lawsuit against the Flemish government.
Military goods from Antwerp used in the Gaza Strip
Specifically, the court dealt with a container with so -called bowling roller bearings in the port of Antwerp. Delivery was determined by the NGO information for an Israeli armaments company that uses such cone roller warehouses for the production of tanks and armored vehicles that the Israeli army uses in the Gaza Strip. The judges decided that the container must not leave the port “under no circumstances”.
Flemish government knows about your responsibility
According to the non -governmental organizations, several ships between Antwerp and Israel, Belga, continued to report every month.
