Donald Trump can rarely be put under pressure. But in the case of the late Jeffrey Epstein. There is an alleged letter.
The US President Donald Trump, which is under pressure in the affair around Jeffrey Epstein, wants to release some legal documents for the fall of the died sex offender. The scope of these documents is unclear.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: “Due to the enormous attention that Jeffrey Epstein will be given”, he asked General Prosecutor Pam Bondi to submit all “relevant statements” before the so -called Grand Jury in the case. He once again described the affair around the multimillionaire as a dizziness of the Democratic Party.
Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in 2019
A Grand Jury is a group of jury who, according to the presentation of evidence by the public prosecutor, decides whether charges can be charged in one case. Epstein was arrested in 2019 and then accused.
Epstein’s arrest, which had systematically abused minors for many years, caused a sensation in the USA and worldwide. In 2019 he committed suicide in his prison cell at the age of 66.
Trump has been exposed to greater pressure – also from his own camp for days. Bondi also blows violent criticism – Trump had behind her. The importance of the documents he announced and whether publication will be sufficient for his own supporters is unclear. It is also not foreseeable when the documents could be visible.
Donald Trump had promised publication of files before the election
More and more critics expect Trump to publish files. That had been one of his election promises. At the beginning of last week, however, the FBI announced that he had not found any evidence of participating more prominent. Epstein’s death is also clear. There is therefore no legendary list of the former multimillionaire with the names of US elites.
Trump’s announcement on the documents came shortly after the publication of a “Wall Street Journal” report, which the US President immediately countered. The US newspaper reported on an alleged letter with slippery content, which is said to have Trump’s name and was said to have been part of an album with many birthday letters for Epstein in 2003. The newspaper referred to an insight into documents. She wrote that on the alleged letter the outline of a woman’s body with a marker is said to have been drawn with breasts.
The president denies that they were author – Trump announced a lawsuit against the newspaper. On Trump’s profile on his Truth Social platform, a post says in response to reporting: “This is another example of fake news!”
Trump: “I don’t draw pictures of women”
The newspaper cited Trump in the same article with the words: “This is fake. It is a false report of the” Wall Street Journal “”. And the US President was also quoted: “I don’t draw pictures of women”. And: “It is not my language. It’s not my words.”
Vice President JD Vance jumped by Trump. Vance posted on the platform X: “Forgive me for my expression, but this story is complete and absolute bullshit. The WSJ should be ashamed to have published it.”
Trump not only wants to sue the newspaper, but also the media entrepreneur Rupert Murdoch, whose portfolio includes the “Wall Street Journal”. The US President wrote Truth Social: “I said Rupert Murdoch that it was a dizziness and that he should not print this fake story.” He would sue him – Trump used the derogatory term “his ass” (literally his butt or ass). Trump also spoke of a “third -class” newspaper about the WSJ.
