US President under pressure: Trump wants to go to Epstein billions in WSJ story to Epstein

Trump wants to go to Epstein’s WSJ story to WSJ story

Donald Trump did not torch for long: One day after an article that brought him in connection with sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein, the US President complained. And he demands a lot of money.

US President Donald Trump wants to sue billions of dollars about his alleged connections to the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for a report in the “Wall Street Journal” (WSJ). Trump confirmed in his lawsuit in Florida that he was not the author of a congratulatory letter to Epstein’s 50th birthday. The article is wrong and defamatory. In the two action points, Trump each mentions an amount of at least ten billion dollars, which he wants to have as reparation.

Trump complains, among other things, against Medienmogul Rupert Murdoch, the WSJ editor Dow Jones and the two reporters who wrote the article. The president argues that he takes financial damage and suffer from his reputation. Trump emphasized that the newspaper did not publish a letter – and had not provided any evidence of his participation in the letter. Trump wrote about the newspaper on Truth Social that she was “useless”. The dpa asked the newspaper for a statement.

The day before, the “Wall Street Journal” reported exclusively about a congratulatory letter to Epstein on his birthday in 2003, which is supposed to bear the name Trump. In the letter with slippery content, the outlines of a female body with a marker are said to have been drawn with breasts – the newspaper refers to an insight into documents. The newspaper’s report establishes a connection to Trump to Epstein. The President denied that he was author – and he also informed the “Wall Street Journal” before the publication. Trump immediately announced a lawsuit against the newspaper.

Epstein’s arrest, which had systematically abused minors for many years, caused a stir worldwide. In 2019 he committed suicide in his prison cell at the age of 66. In parts of the US company, Epstein’s death caused wild speculation because he had the best contacts in the American high society. Prominent and billionaires went in and out of him-Donald Trump also spent time with Epstein, as several party videos show.

The US President is under increasing pressure. Critics require him to have files from the Epstein Fall published. That was one of his election promises.

Release of protocols to Epstein

Meanwhile, US Attorney General Pam Bondi applied for the release of documents for the indictment against Epstein in 2019. It is about the protocols of the so-called Grand Jury. This is a group of jurors who, according to the public prosecutor’s evidence, decides whether charges are charged. Epstein was charged in July 2019 and died a month later.

As can be seen from Bondi’s application to a court in New York, information on the victims and “other personal identifying information” should be blackened before the publication.

Trump supporter disappointed

The Grand Jury Protocols should contain information that underpins the specific charges against Epstein. However, it is not the publication of all knowledge of the Epstein, which is requested by some Trump supporters. In the past few years, Republicans have repeatedly stoked conspiracy theories around Trump, according to which US elites had participated in Epstein’s crimes and kept him.

It is not foreseeable how quickly the documents of the Grand jury could be published by the court after approval. It is also unclear what scope they have. The President, which was under pressure, had placed the order immediately after the WSJ report was published.
