The United States continues to hope for a ceasefire in the Gaza War. President Trump is now confident that ten hostages will soon be released.
US President Donald Trump has promised the early release of ten hostages from the competitive Gaza Strip. The Republican said that ten hostages will be “very soon” – you hope that this will be completed pretty quickly. Trump had repeatedly expressed hope that the indirect negotiations between Israel and Islamist Hamas will soon reach an agreement over a 60-day ceasefire and the release of ten hostages still living. Hamas had already approved the release of ten hostages, but recently saw unresolved issues.
The Gaza War triggered the unprecedented attack by Hamas and other Islamist terrorist organizations to Israel on October 7, 2023, in which around 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 were delayed to Gaza as hostages. Since then, according to the health authority controlled by the Hamas, more than 58,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed. The barely verifiable number does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. According to the Israeli state of knowledge, at least 20 hostages are still alive.
