Germany gives money and Great Britain buys: The allies of Ukraine want to use the 50-day period set by US President Trump for an armistice.
Germany, Great Britain and other allies want to significantly accelerate arms deliveries to Ukraine. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense in London before a virtual meeting of the so-called Ukraine contact group. Accordingly, the next 50 days should be used to provide Kiev as many weapons as possible.
US President Donald Trump had threatened Russia with high tariffs last week if a ceasefire or a peace agreement should not come about within 50 days. This period should now be used to upgrade Ukraine as much as possible.
