The Israeli army has pushed in the southern Gaza Strip with tanks because it suspects hostages of Hamas. The IDF announces that it will continue to hold on to the hard course.
Israeli tanks first moved up to southern and eastern parts of the city of Deir Al-Balah in the Gaza Strip on Monday. According to Palestinian paramedics, at least three people were killed.
According to Israeli security circles, the military suspects that Islamists hold some of the remaining hostages in the area, as Israeli media report. Tank fire hit eight houses and three mosques. Dozens of families fled towards the coast and the nearby city of Chan Junis. According to local information, at least five people had previously been killed by an Israeli air raid, including a couple and his two children.
IDF: continue with “big hardness” in the Gaza strip
The Israeli military said that it is still “with great hardness to destroy the enemy’s skills and the terrorist infrastructure in the area”. At first there was no opinion on the incidents in Deir Al-Balah and Chan Junis. Of the remaining 50 hostages in the Gaza Strip, at least 20 should still be alive.
Members of the hostages were concerned and asked the army to explain how the protection of their relatives who have been deported for more than one and a half years should be guaranteed.
