Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu maintain a friendly relationship. Even the recent attacks of Israel on Syria and Gaza do not damage this either.
According to the White House, US President Donald Trump was caught by the Israeli attacks in Syria and in the Gaza Strip last week. Trump was “surprised by the bombing in Syria and also by the bombing of a Catholic church in the Gaza Strip,” said Trump’s spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt on Monday (local time) to journalists.
In both cases, Trump immediately called Israel’s head of government Benjamin Netanyahu, “to clarify the situation,” added Leavitt. With regard to Syria, “we have found a de -escalation,” she said.
Trump remains “Bibis” best friend
“The president has a good employment relationship with Prime Minister ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu and is in regular contact with him,” said Leavitt. Netanyahu already completed his third visit to Washington at the beginning of July since Trump’s return to the presidency on January 20.
Israel’s army had flown to goals near the Syrian Presidential Palace in Damascus and the headquarters of the Syrian army last week. She also attacked destinations in the Drusen region of Suwaida in southern Syria.
In an attack of Israel on the only Catholic church in the Gaza Stripes, three people were killed in the past week and several people were injured. According to the White House, Netanyahu described the attack as “error”.
