A few days ago, offenders were deported to Afghanistan. Now a deportation freight into Iraq has started in Leipzig.
From Leipzig Airport, deportation freight to Iraq started in the morning according to DPA information. The machine with the Baghdad target took off at 10.52 a.m., as emerged from the Flightradar24 portal. However, the Federal Ministry of the Interior initially did not provide any official information on request.
According to a dpa photographer, the police secured the frame handling. The passengers were brought to the machine in minibuses and two larger airport buses. Police officers accompanied the occupants to the plane individually.
It was only in February that 47 people from eleven federal states were deported to Iraq from Hanover. Last Friday, a deportation flight to Afghanistan also started from Leipzig/Halle Airport. According to the authorities, 81 criminals were on board. It was the second deportation freight to Afghanistan since the Taliban was taken over in August 2021.
