Forsa survey: Almost all ministers get bad grades

Forsa survey
Germans give the new cabinet moderate grades – only one stands out

The new federal government is in office for around two months. According to a Forsa survey, the German judgment is mixed with the cabinet. With one exception.

“It has always tried” is a notorious phrase in the job reference. She assumes that although there was a certain motivation, the job was not successfully done. This wording would presumably also appear in the intermediate certificate of the current cabinet if the citizens would issue one of the new ministers, as a Forsa survey for the RTL/NTV trend barometer shows. After two months in office, the Germans give the new federal cabinet rather moderate grades. Only Defense Minister Boris Pistorius protrudes out of mediocrity. 70 percent of Germans are satisfied with the SPD politician:

Forsa survey shows that some cabinet members are still little known

Two CDU ministers convince at least half of the citizens: Chancellor’s head Thorsten Frei and Foreign Minister Johann WadePhul. With Environment Minister Carsten Schneider, also CDU, at least the satisfaction of dissatisfaction predominates. With the rest of the field, the balance is negative in this regard.

The red lantern wears Alexander Dobrindt in the inner department. With him, 57 percent of the citizens are dissatisfied. SPD boss, Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil lands just before. 52 percent are dissatisfied with him. Dobrindt and he are the only politicians in the ranking with which more than half of the respondents are dissatisfied. After all, they are still the most famous politicians behind Pistorius.

Merz and Klingbeil
Does the coalition now lose control?

Because: For some cabinet members, Forsa was not able to determine satisfaction values for the RTL/NTV trend barometer in the survey: they are still too unknown to many Germans. Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder (CDU) and Minister of Justice Stefanie Hubig (SPD), for example, does not even know every fifth. Incidentally, the survey was only about the Federal Minister. Satisfaction with Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz was queried separately. However, the result for the head of government was just as sobering: only 32 percent stated that he was satisfied with his work, 64 percent were dissatisfied. For Merz, these are the worst values since the chancellor’s election.
