US President under pressure: Media: Trump informed about his own names in Epstein files

U.S. Minister of Justice Pam Bondi informed President Donald Trump in the spring that his name appears in the files on sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This was reported by the “Wall Street Journal” (WSJ) and the “New York Times”, citing high -ranking government officials or three people familiar with the exchange. Accordingly, Trump was also informed that many other top -class personalities in the documents are also mentioned.

It is conceivable that Trump’s name appears as a well -known Epstein’s investigative documents. This does not automatically follow a guilt. Among other things, it was also mentioned in a harmless connection in court documents. Last week, the Republican asked a journalist whether Bondi had informed him that his name appeared in the files. Trump said no, but confirmed that there was a short briefing.

According to the research of the WSJ, Trump was informed at the meeting that, according to government officials, the files contained unconfirmed rumors about many people – including Trump – who had been going with Epstein in the past. Accordingly, it was a routine briefing that dealt with various topics.

Controversy to publish the files

According to the WSJ, Trump has also been informed that high -ranking employees of the Ministry of Justice do not plan to release further documents in connection with the investigation into Epstein – because these would contain information about the victims, among other things. At the meeting, the US President said that he would agree with the decision of the Ministry of Justice not to release any further files.

Trump has long been under pressure in the Epstein affair. Publishing the files for the case was one of his election promises – critics, also from his own warehouse, are now demanding this.

Epstein’s arrest, which had systematically abused minors for many years, caused a stir worldwide. In 2019 he committed suicide in his prison cell at the age of 66. In parts of the US company, his death caused wild speculation because he had the best contacts in the American high society.
