The AfD youth organization Junge Alternative was dissolved. A new organization is to be founded in autumn. Their possible logo is already controversial.
Designs for a possible logo of the future AfD party youth provide discussions. The news portal “T-Online” had reported that a few days ago, the AfD registered several picture marks at the European Union for intellectual property (EuIPO) and the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) a few days ago.
The DPMA confirmed the entrance. As usual, the designs would be checked according to brand law rules. A spokesman did not want to give further information with reference to the ongoing procedure.
Four concrete designs can be viewed at the EU authority
There are actually four specific logo designs on the website of the EU office, which were submitted from July 15th to 18th. The AfD is listed as the owner. It is an eagle in an angular design, with sharp, straight lines, the AfD logo and a lettering: “Party youth”, “Germany Youth”, “Young Patriot” or “Patriotic Youth”.
The party did not comment in more detail on request. One spokesman only said: “The AfD youth organization has to be founded again. Then the newly elected federal board of our new youth organization decides on a logo and a design.” A founding congress is planned at the end of November.
AfD federal politicians also held back with public reviews on the Internet. Bavarian member of the state parliament Jörg Baumann expressed his joy over the circulating logo at X. The green member of the Bundestag and legal politician Till Steffen wrote at X: “Sometimes I have the impression that they want to be banned.” “Image” quoted two AfD MPs not mentioned by name who were critical. One of the politicians called the logo “borderline”. Another is quoted with the words: “That has a bit of Nazi aesthetics.”

Yes resolved – follow -up organization should move closer to AfD
The previous youth organization of the AfD, the young alternative, was a largely independent association and, after a party convention of the AfD, had dissolved itself at the end of March.
The plan to found a new organization had been justified to get more of the party youth. However, it was also argued with a possibly impending ban on associations. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution had classified the right -wing extremist endeavor. The successor organization is now to be connected much closer to the AfD.
