Palestine recognized as a state of almost 150 countries
Macron is not the first to drift Israel to white glow when it comes to statehood. The Palestinians had already been independent in 1988 and declared the entire area occupied by Israel as a territory – with Eastern Jerusalem as the capital. Many influential nations agreed in the same year, including China, India, Russia, Turkey – and the GDR.
