AfD boss Alice Weidel was unable to discover three positive things in Germany. Our readers are now responding to politicians and celebrities. A selection of the reactions.
Which three things are going really well in Germany? This question, which Alice Weidel could not answer in the ARD summer interview, asked the star Politicians such as Bärbel Bas or Sahra Wagenknecht, comedians like Atze Schröder or actors like Marcus Mittermaier.
Many respondents praised the volunteers in this country, but also the fundamental rights or the social system. And of course Markus Söder replied first: “Bavaria!”
On this occasion we also asked you, our readers. We wanted to know how it looks in this country, which works completely or halfway. The image of a country is created from the resonances, in which a lot is valued despite all the criticism – perhaps also because it seems increasingly at risk. But there was also hard criticism. Here is a selection of the letters (partially shortened).
“A lot of child benefit”
“Voluntary work, a lot of social support from the federal and state governments, lots of child benefit (compared to England). Our varied landscapes. Renewable energy.“ Ingeborg Adams
“Nobody has to go hungry”
“First, the education systems are such that every young person can exploit their potential – talents, talents of any kind – regardless of the financial possibilities of the parents. However, there is a lack of supervisors.
Don’t you want to miss anything from the star?
Personally, competent and entertaining: Editor -in -chief Gregor Peter Schmitz sends you the most important content from the star-Credaction and arranges what Germany talks about.
Second, the health system in Germany is one of the most expensive in Europe and not the most efficient. But you can still rely on you to be helped when you get sick. Third, nobody really has to go hungry and freeze, an old person doesn’t have to land on the street.
These are experiences of an 86-year-old whose parents have always encouraged him, but could hardly contribute a penny to his training. That means the state helped with scholarships. And that has come around the world and says that you live here on the ‘island of the blessed’. ” Walter Rathjen
“Free press and free travel”
“Personal development, free press and free travel and health insurance I appreciate here. Compared to Portugal, a lot is going better, more easily and more comfortable here.” Petra Behr
“Freedom of expression”
“1. Freedom of the press and freedom of expression – even if the opposite is often claimed in the right scene!
2. Many committed people in civil society, for example against racism, xenophobia and anti -Semitism, but also for neighborhood help, environmental protection, social advice …
3. great progress in expanding renewable energies and also technological advances in energy storage that make new investments in oil and gas power plants really superfluous! ” Doris Möhlenrich
“The government can make debt very well”
“Make debt and throw money out, our government can do that very well!” anonymous
“Alice Weidel should stay in Switzerland”
“We are over 90 percent in wages and bread. We are excellently cared for (of course you sometimes have to wait). We are a free country with a beautiful, mixed company. We have rights that are respected.
The only thing that bothers us are people who always only filter out the bad. Therefore, we would recommend a very truth-distorting woman Weidel, but we would stay where she is, in Switzerland. ” Brigitte and Wilhelm Rainer Babel
“Basic care”
“There is basic care for everyone. Health insurance. Basic law, democratic rights.” Silvia Mordecai-Astor
“Independent judiciary”
“1. Freedom of expression that enables both Mr. Merz, Mr. Spahn, Ms. Weidel and many others to say the opinion bluntly, but also lets Ms. Weidel, for example.
2. Our economy/industry.
3. The willingness to accept people who do not have these privileges.
Independent judiciary, social institutions, research on future -oriented projects, culture (music, literature, theater, ballet). And, and, and …
Ms. Weidel may not really notice with residence in Switzerland! Sure, there is still a lot to do. Ms. Weidel and her friends are certainly not the right address! ” H.-U. hunter
“Special debt should scare”
“Every week a different sow is driven through the village, to distract the masses. The fire wall against the AfD, it is that the country ‘still’ holds together, but just because each of the political noses is afraid for their position.
Otherwise, everyone should be afraid to soften the debt brake and the special debt if you are not yet in retirement. ” Bert Logi
“No censorship”
“Despite all the bad machines of our government by Ms. Alice Weidel & Friends, we still have freedom of expression and press, no censorship or even prohibition of educational and cultural providers and no public threat and restriction of people who do not meet the ‘moral ideas’ of malignant government officials !!!” Ingeborg Drachsler
