The nights in Ukraine are restless. People are often torn from sleep by air alarm. Strokes in the cities cost civilians. President Selenskyj wants to counteract.
In order to ward off the constant Russian drone attacks, Ukraine wants to significantly increase its own production of interceptors. “There is a confirmed plan – to get a number of 500 to 1,000 catch -in -arms a day, it won’t be easy,” said Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj in his evening video message. A certain period is set for this and the corresponding officials are also personally responsible for the implementation.
Drones have become an increasingly important factor in the fighting of both warring parties in Ukraine. They are used on both the front and for the shelling of the hinterland. Night after night, civilians die in Ukraine or are injured by drone attacks.
According to experts, Russia will be able to increase its production of unmanned flight devices to up to 1,000 a day in the foreseeable future. In order to secure your own airspace, Ukraine must therefore build a comparably high number of interceptors.
