Putin announces further upgrade of the fleet
A large fleet maneuver ends in Russia. President Putin comes by on the final day. He advertises reforms and new weapons for partial dispute.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin announced the renovation and further upgrading of the marine fuses when a large fleet maneuver was taken. Two naval fans were already converted into divisions by the end of the year, another three in brief, said Putin. “As a result, the fleet of strips and fighting are increasing enormously,” he said.
According to official information, more than 150 war and supply ships, 120 aircraft and helicopter as well as more than 15,000 soldiers took part in the five-day maneuver, which came to an end on Sunday, the Russian “Day of the Marine Train Powers”. The military exercises ran in the Baltic Sea, in the Arctic and Pacific Ocean as well as in the Caspian Sea. According to Moscow, the aim of the exercise is to defend a large -scale attack at sea.
The Kremlin accuses NATO of endangering Russia’s security. The western military alliance has already organized a fleet maneuver this year: Baltops 2025. In June, official information was part of around 50 ships and around 9,000 soldiers.
Black Sea fleet was badly damaged in the war
Russia began in 2022 Putin’s command with the invasion of Ukraine. The officially articulated war goals, including the conquest of four Ukrainian regions, has not yet reached Moscow. The Black Sea fleet, which was particularly strongly involved in the war, had to accept severe losses in the time and lost its flagship, the rocket cruiser Moskwa. Putin now described the fleet in a video message as “pride and achievement of the fatherland”. The day of marine forces is a nice holiday, “but it is correct that we spend the holiday in combat and working atmosphere, everyone is on their place and the fleet demonstrates its potential for fighting and quality,” said Putin.
