Moscow opens the first direct flight connection to Pyöngjang

North Korea is one of the most important allies of Russia. So far, both countries have proven this with sympathy and military aids. Now the next friendship proof follows.
Russia and North Korea have set up a direct flight connection between Moscow and Pyongyang. According to the private Russian airline Nordwind Airlines, the first machine to the North Korean capital is to take off from Moscow Airport Scheremetjewo on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. (local time, 6 p.m. CEST) and ended up in Pyongyang after a flight time of eight hours and five minutes.
So far, there have been no direct flights between the two 6500 kilometers relegated.
According to the airline’s website, nine tickets were still available for the flight at least 45,000 rubles (484 euros) on Sunday morning. The first flight in the opposite direction, from Pyongyang to Moscow, is planned for Tuesday, according to the Russian news agency TASS. From then on, line flights will run between the two capitals once a month, the Ministry of Transport Russia announced.
Russia and North Korea approach each other again
A train connection between Moscow and Pyongyang was resumed on June 17, after which was interrupted in 2020 as a result of Corona pandemic.
The traditional allies Russia and North Korea have approached each other in recent years and have recently strengthened their military cooperation. Pyongyang is one of the most important supporters of Moscow in the War of Agency of the Russian Army against Ukraine and also sent soldiers.
